chezweitz museal and urban scenography

In our churches, we celebrate services, proclaim the Good News, and bear witness to our faith. From here, we practice charity – in service to our fellow human beings. God is present in the community of believers.

But our churches are more than liturgical sites. As cultural monuments, they shape the image of our towns and villages – often they are at the heart of the place and the community. It is all the more painful when they remain empty and unused.

Can and do we want to open our churches to others? To people who develop activities there that go beyond their traditional use?

To put it more specifically: Is it permissible to hold a first-aid course in a church? A skat tournament? A foosball table?

What can you imagine for your church? What is your CHURCH FREE for?

The card game is intended not only to stimulate reflection and imagination, but also to explore the scope for finding new ideas for using our empty churches and, ideally, to lead to concrete implementation.
