„Do you have something to fight for?“
100 years of promoting and shaping. An art exhibition by the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation
The 100-year history of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and its valuesof freedom, justice and solidarity are also reflected in its art collection. To mark the anniversary, the foundation is showing selected works in dialogue with the positions of contemporary art scholarship holders. The exhibition will open in House 1 of the FES and in the Künstlerhaus Bethanien from February 28th.
The title “Do you have something to fight for?” by Polina Stohnushko uses art to encourage us to engage with social engagement in times of crisis. What issues continue to accompany us and what is worth fighting for?
The exhibition transforms the diverse functional rooms of the FES into a coherent exhibition course. Colored fields and large-scale architectural elements succeed in skillfully linking the works visually. An exciting dialogue between art, space and the foundation’s values emerges.
